LAPD News:

West Jemez Road in Technical Area 16 (TA16) will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 5, near the intersection with N.M. 4 to address a significant water leak in the middle of the road.

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) crews will be handling the repair, which is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until the repair work is completed.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes during this time. Suggested detours include N.M.  4 through to Pajarito Road, East Jemez Road (Truck Route) and Main Hill.

The closure aims to ensure the safety of both the crew working on the repair and the motorists in the area. Residents and commuters should plan accordingly to avoid delays.

By following the suggested alternative routes and planning, residents can minimize the inconvenience caused by the road closure. The prompt repair of the water leak will help ensure the continued safety and reliability of the local infrastructure.
