COMMUNITY New:

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce hosted the opening of the new downtown studio of Dance Arts Los Alamos (DALA) Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

After looking for a more central location for their classes in Los Alamos, Dance Arts Los Alamos (DALA) leased their new dance studio space at 1650 Trinity Ave., Suite 115 in downtown Los Alamos.

DALA Director Jonathan Guise said recently that he and the DALA Board have been working on this for the past several years as their dancers and families have long requested a space closer to the downtown with convenient parking and better amenities.

Entrance to the new dance studio is on the backside of the building, next to the large parking lot behind where CB Fox used to be located.

“We are all very excited to be located right downtown!” Guise said recently. “It will make dance classes so convenient for so many people! Come see the new space … then sign up for spring semester!”

DALA began holding classes in the new studio Jan. 3 and will continue holding classes in their studio at 111 Longview Dr., in White Rock.

For questions or to sign up for classes with DALA, visit www.danceartslosalamos.org or call 505.672.9462.
