Scenes From Wreaths Across America At Santa Fe National Cemetery Saturday Morning

Hundreds of people braved cold temperatures Saturday morning to participate in the annual Wreaths Across America event at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Los Alamos National Laboratory employees, in partnership with Los Alamos National Security LLC, Centerra-LA (the Lab’s protective force contractor), Berardinelli Funeral Home, the International Guard Union of America Local 69, and Los Alamos National Bank raised $11,500 to sponsor 1,150 wreaths of remembrance for the ceremony. The Wreaths Across America initiative coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and other cemeteries and locations in all 50 states. Mike Lansing, Associate Director for Mission Assurance, Security and Emergency Response (ADMASER), introduced the program to LANL in 2011. Photo by Maire O’Neill/ladailypost.com
