Scenes From Trails Information Fair Saturday At Co-Op Park

Scene from the Trails Information Fair Community Open House held Saturday at Co-Op Park at 1010 Central Ave. 5+ area groups and organizations have been invited to be on hand to talk about their events, activities, membership opportunities, and volunteer opportunities. Meet Striker, the Ambassador Horse, a friendly Arabian. Striker will anchor a booth by local equestrians with information about what to do if you encounter a horse on a trail. The overall event marks the official launch of www.pajaritotrails.us —a starting place for residents and visitors alike to find out about the area’s outdoor experience and all of the events and activities from 15+ area organizations. All calendar entries at the hub present a uniform summary of event information and link directly to the organizing group’s websites for detailed information and sign-up if required. The pajaritotrails.us digital hub also provides direct links to interactive trail maps and area outdoor and trails-related news and stories. Learn more at the PTS station. The event concludes with a group hike/walk that will depart for the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) via the new Urban Trail. Photos by John McHale/ladailypost.com
