A group of people from around the area were invited to participate in a behind the scenes VIP Tour Thursday evening of Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder resort.

This sprawling pueblo-style resort is set on 587 acres and 14.2 miles from downtown Santa Fe. All Latin American-style rooms feature hand-designed furnishings and custom-designed beds, plus flat-screen TVs and fee-based WiFi. Some have balconies with mountain views, and suites with living areas.

Other amenities include six restaurants, a spa offering Native American-inspired treatments and three golf courses. There’s also a 24/7 fitness center, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, plus an on-site wedding chapel and 66,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

The resort’s casino features 1,200 slots, 18 tables, roulette wheels and a poker room with tournaments twice weekly. Also, regular shows are hosted, from internationally famous live bands, to stand-up comedy.
