Staff Report

First Born of Los Alamos, in collaboration with Los Alamos JJAB and Los Alamos Family Council hosted a series of informative workshops for 21 Spanish-speaking families Saturday at UNM-Los Alamos.

Hispanic families from the Los Alamos and Río Arriba areas were invited to this free event. Those in attendance received in Spanish information on a wide variety of topics and resources.

Representatives from community service agencies attended the event including those focused on mental health, substance use, LGBTQ+, navigating the public school system, homework assistance for students and positive discipline and more.

This daylong educational event also included childcare, breakfast and lunch to attendees.
