Scenes From Sunday’s Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Run

The crowd takes off in Sunday’s Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Run hosted by the Los Alamos High School Band to raise money for their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C.  The fun run included a choice of 5K or 1 mile runs and is modeled after the popular Rock and Roll marathons featuring live music along the routes.  Students from LAHS and Los Alamos Middle School played holiday tunes for the runners. The runs started and finished at LAMS. The Governor’s Office nominated the ‘Topper Marching Band to play July 4, 2016 in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. Proceeds from Sunday’s race will offset costs to send nearly 100 students to the Nation’s Capital to represent the state of New Mexico. Photo by Mike Strevell
