Scenes From Special Reception Recognizing Enterprise Bank & Trust For $500,000 Donation To Los Alamos Historical Society For Oppenheimer House Renovation

Enterprise Bank & Trust President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Lally addresses guests gathered for a special event on Thursday at Historic Fuller Lodge, recognizing the generosity of Enterprise and its $500,000 donation to the Los Alamos Historical Society to support the renovation of the Oppenheimer House. ‘Today is a very special day … marking the continuation of a great relationship between Enterprise Bank & Trust and the Los Alamos Community,” Lally said. “You see, just over eight years ago, our company came to Los Alamos to partner with LANB and what attracted us to this market then, remains why we enjoy such great success today… What I appreciated most about this community was its rich history and its willingness to be a partner with us. This relationship has blossomed over these last eight years, exemplified by our continued success in this market while partnering with great organizations like the Los Alamos Historical Society, which guide our responsibility to give to what matters most to this community. Enterprise is honored to support the renovation of the Oppenheimer House with a $500,000 donation. We are doing this because it is important to you… With this gift, Enterprise Bank & Trust continues to demonstrate our commitment to the Los Alamos Community’s key initiatives and to your future.” Lally’s remarks drew a standing ovation from the crowd. Los Alamos Historical Society Board Chair Patrick Sullivan spoke on behalf of the board of directors and staff at Thursday’s special event. ‘It is my honor to extend our deepest gratitude to Enterprise Bank & Trust, and especially to Liddie Martinez, for their extraordinary generosity in supporting the restoration of one of our community’s most treasured landmarks, the Oppenheimer House,’ Sullivan said. ‘Enterprise Bank & Trust, formerly Los Alamos National Bank, has been the longest continuous community supporter of the Historical Society. Their dedication to preserving the unique history of our community is unmatched. I have known Liddie for 15 years. I’ve worked with her on numerous economic development projects in Northern New Mexico and have seen firsthand her dedication to our community and the history of Los Alamos… The Oppenheimer House is not just a structure of wood and stone – it is a living link to the history of Los Alamos, of the people who came here under the most unusual circumstances, and to the stories that shaped the world we live in today. This gift ensures that this history will not be lost to time… Thanks to your generosity, we can safeguard this heritage. We can ensure that the Oppenheimer House continues to tell its story – not as a relic, but as a living reminder of what was achieved here, and of the responsibility we all carry in shaping the future.’ Photo by Carol A.
