Musician Shamarr Allen greets the Secret City Summer Concert crowd gathered Friday evening at the Ashley Pond Park Pavilion. Allen is the definition of New Orleans, according to a press release, and has influences in jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk rhythms, blues and country. In addition to performing with his band, The Underdawgs, Allen has collaborated with many renowned artists around the world such as Willie Nelson, Patti LaBelle, Galactic, Harry Connick Jr, and Lenny Kravitz.
