During a legacy event held Tuesday at the home of Los Alamos Community Foundation Board of Directors member Vivien Chen, the Community Foundation said goodbye to former Executive Director Elizabeth Martineau, left, and welcomed new Executive Director Alison Watkins. Regarding her tenure Martineau said, ‘This community is full of wonderful, giving people and it has been an honor to serve as executive director for the Community Foundation.’ Watkins said, ‘I’m excited to start this new role but Liz will be a hard act to follow. Also, the Community Foundation celebrated having six new seed funds and endowments, surpassing $2 million in assets and granting more than $220,000 to local nonprofit organizations. The six new endowments are Living Treasures of Los Alamos, Los Alamos Community Winds, Los Alamos Historical Society, Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra, UNM-LA Faculty Professional Development and the Jose A. and Mary M.
