Scenes From Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club Event

Justin Webster of the Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club makes contact with an amateur radio operator in Arkansas during the National Amateur Radio Field Day contest Saturday at North Mesa Picnic Grounds. The event continues through noon Sunday and the community is invited to observe and make contact with ham operators throughout North America. The contest involves making contact with as many amateur radio stations as possible and using generator, solar and battery-powered equipment to make radio contacts during the 24-hour emergency preparedness exercise.
