Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities Water and Energy Conservation Coordinator Abbey Hayward shows off the department’s newest feature: induction cook top kits. She explained that starting in July, the six kits will be available to loan to the community for two-week periods. Information about the kits will be included in the paper utility bills. The kits include an induction cook top, recipes, utensils and an induction cook top-ready pan. Hayward said the purpose behind the program is to promote how energy efficient induction cook tops are.
