Offering more food options for residents and visitors!
The family goes way back with food knowledge and experience from when grandma sold tamales. Both brothers have deep experience in the food industry, most recently at the Food Co-op deli. Patsy brings a wealth of accounting experience and manages the business side as well as operations. in the true spirit of family, even sister Elisa pitches in working the food truck when needed. Chefs for You offers handcrafted “sangwiches”, crispy golden fries, fresh salads, and more to hungry locals, commuters, students, and visitors alike. A menu favorite is the “Jackalope Cheese Steak” made with serious sizzle. Also try the “Hilltopper” a buttery toasted turkey hoagie, the “Aztec Burger”, Frito pie, and veggie melt specialties. Every item on the menu is made with love, rooted in family tradition, and crafted using locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients whenever possible.
What exactly is a “sangwich”? In Northern New Mexico, it’s a regional, phonetic spelling of sandwich. It reflects local speech patterns and culture. Many folks naturally say “sang-wich” or “san-wich,” and it’s often used playfully or proudly in local food culture. So, when a Northern NM food business says “sangwich,” they’re usually saying:
This is a real-deal, homegrown sandwich made with local style.
“Whether you’re grabbing a breakfast croissant sangwich on the go or a stacked lunch creation, it’s all about bringing people together through delicious food made with care and community in mind,” said Jesus Ruelas.
