Santa Fe Pro Musica Announces 2024–2025 Season

Pro Musica News:

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Pro Musica’s 2024–2025 Season offers a distinguished selection of concerts from September through May.

In addition to their popular String Quartet Series, celebratory Holiday Bach Festival, and Baroque Holy Week concerts, Artistic Director Colin Jacobsen presents a fresh and innovative twist on Pro Musica’s acclaimed orchestra concerts. The Orchestra Series invites five featured artists as both soloists and composers—Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, Mexican singer Magos Hererra, violinist Colin Jacobsen, Wu Man, pipa, and shakuhachi player Kojiru Umezakii.

We’re thrilled to present Santa Fe Pro Musica’s 43rd season, which is illuminated by the creativity of musical torchbearers—artists with wide cultural perspectives who are both deeply engaged with tradition while pushing the musical artform forward. Each of our five orchestral programs features special guest soloists who have a composing or improvisation practice as well as being virtuosic performers themselves.”—Colin Jacobsen, Artistic Director

The season will also include a variety of educational and social events: lectures, demonstrations, masterclasses, youth concerts, and post-concert dinners and receptions with the artists.
