Santa Fe Pro Musica And New Mexico Museum Of Art Present Organ Recital Series March 19 & April 16 & May 21

SANTA FE — This spring, Santa Fe Pro Musica and New Mexico Museum of Art collaborate in presenting their second annual Organ Recital Series, featuring the museum’s Frederick R. Haas pipe organ.

This free chamber music series presents outstanding local musicians including organist David Solem, violinist David Felberg and flutist Jesse Tatum March 19, April 16 and May 21 at St. Francis Auditorium in the New Mexico Museum of Art.

About the Artists

David Solem, organ, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from the Peabody Conservatory (Baltimore) where he studied organ, harpsichord, piano, and flute. He has 30 years of experience in liturgical music and has taught music at Loyola University in Chicago. David is the assistant organist for Santa Fe’s First Presbyterian Church and plays keyboards of all kinds for Pro Musica, including baroque chest organ, double-manual French harpsichord, single-manual Flemish harpsichord, harmonium, the Frederick R. Haas pipe organ in St. Francis Auditorium, and the Hamburg Steinway in the Lensic.

David Felberg, violin, performs as a soloist, in recitals, chamber music, and orchestral concerts. He is the artistic director, co-founder, violinist, violist, and conductor of Chatter (Albuquerque and Santa Fe), concertmaster of the Santa Fe Symphony, and a member of the Pro Musica Orchestra and Baroque Ensemble. Felberg is an Albuquerque native, earned a Bachelor of Arts in History (University of Arizona) and a Master of Music in Conducting (University of New Mexico), and plays a 1829 Vuillaume violin.

Jesse Tatum, flute, studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of New Mexico, and furthered her studies at Catania International Music Festival and the National Repertory Orchestra. Currently principal flute of Santa Fe Pro Musica, the Santa Fe Symphony, Opera Southwest, and Chatter, Jesse has performed many seasons with the Santa Fe Opera, New Mexico Philharmonic, Performance Santa Fe Orchestra, and at Meow Wolf. She was featured at the 2017 TEDxABQ conference, and profiled in Albuquerque The Magazine and Rolling Stone.
