The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) will host a teen and family trail work day July 6 on the Cowles Ponds Trail. Attendees will have an opportunity to help restore accessibility to the trail at this event designed to be teen and family friendly.
Tools and hard hats will be provided to attendees; gloves and eye protection will be available upon request. Kick off starts at 10 a.m. at Cowles Ponds and will continue until 3 p.m.
Parent/guardian signature will be required for minors prior to the workday or the day of. Transportation for minors from the Pecos Ranger Station to the trail and back can be arranged.
Suggested items to bring:
- Lunch
- Water bottle
- Sun protection
- Work boots
- Eye protection
- Personal protective clothing (long sleeves/long pants)
