SANTA FE—All Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, in observance of the federal Labor Day holiday. Offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
The extended Labor Day weekend is traditionally a busy time on the forest as visitors take advantage of the last days of summer to spend time outdoors.
Anyone who plans to recreate on the SFNF this weekend is asked to please practice campfire safety. Never leave a campfire unattended, and make sure coals are cold to the touch before leaving the area.
Know before you go and plan ahead
- Check the weather forecast and be prepared for seasonal fluctuations in temperature.
- Visitors are also encouraged to recreate responsibly while enjoying the SFNF and to follow “Leave No Trace” principles.
