SFDC News:

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Desert Chorale (SFDC) announces that its traditional pre-concert lectures are now virtual and free to the public.

Sponsored generously by the New Mexico Humanities Council, the Desert Chorale’s 2022 lecture series will feature three experts as they illuminate the history and significance of the repertoire chosen for this year’s summer festival.

These programs explore the diverse musical treasures of the Mediterranean basin, the powerful impact of women composers and innovators from the ninth century through today, and profound musical representations of the beauty and danger of the sea.

The public also is invited to join free virtual Q&A sessions with their three lecturers. For access to pre-concert lecture videos and register for Q&As, sign up at desertchorale.org/lectures2022
