Santa Fe Animal Shelter Waives Adoption Fees On Adult Cats Through August

SFAS News:
The Santa Fe Animal Shelter (SFAS) announced that it will waive the adoption fee on all cats, six months and older during August as part of its Cats are Cool for Back to School promotion.
SFAS is northern New Mexico’s only and largest open-admission, no-kill shelter. It will hold its “Cat Fee Waived Adoption Event” 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 100 Caja del Rio.
“Kitten season is a busy time for all animal shelters, especially ours,” said Murad Kirdar, Public Relations Officer of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. “The surge of kittens leaves the older cats less desirable to potential adopters. We hope this campaign will help find many of our adult cats their second chance at a forever home.”
All adoptions include spay or neuter, microchipping, age appropriate vaccinations, one month of pet insurance and a bag of food.
