Sangre De Christo Chorale Presents ‘Stille Nacht’

COMMUNITY News:

The Sangre de Cristo Chorale presents “Stille Nacht” to celebrate the mystery, joy and love of the holiday season.

The chorale will host two concerts. The first at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 in the First Presbyterian Church on 208 Grant Ave. in Santa Fe. The second at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at the United Church of Los Alamos.

The concerts will feature the Chorale’s premiere of a work written for the group by Bradley Ellingboe, “Mary’s Song.” The concerts also include Poulenc’s haunting and inspiring set of four Christmas songs, many other familiar (and unfamiliar) carols including a set of charming Spanish carols, and concludes with “Stille Nacht” (Silent Night), in celebration of the 200th anniversary of this beloved carol.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Attendees younger than 18 will be admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased online at Concerts -Sangre de Cristo Chorale

The Sangre de Cristo Chorale welcomes and appreciates all donations. Ticket revenue covers only a portion of the cost of presenting its concerts, so to continue making music in the community the chorale relies on the generous and cherished support of friends.

An investment in the Chorale is a commitment to music — to education that helps young people reach their musical goals; to commissioning new music; to community engagement programs that share the joy of music; to collaborations between musical groups; and to the privilege of sharing music with the public.
