SALA Los Alamos Event Center invites the community to a dynamic week of films, forums, and special events from May 26 through June 1, featuring something for every age and interest.
Kicking off midweek, SALA hosts two key gatherings for the local business community. At 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, the UNM-LA Business Scholar Luncheon will recognize emerging leaders and celebrate local academic excellence. The following evening, at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 29, the Business Coalition Forum brings together professionals and entrepreneurs for collaboration and conversation about the future of business in Los Alamos.
The weekend lights up with two fan-favorite films in SALA’s New Reel series, showing from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1:
- Lilo & Stitch, a heartwarming and hilarious animated tale about family, friendship, and a little bit of chaos
- Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning, where Ethan Hunt races to stop a rogue AI threatening global security
Showtimes:
- Friday & Saturday: 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m.

Teen Movie Night returns at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 30, offering a fun and free experience for local teens. The event includes food from Pi Pizza, make-your-own Italian sodas, gaming stations, a Virtual Reality experience, and a movie showdown: Twisters vs. Twister. A free screening begins at 8:30 p.m. The evening is presented in partnership with Los Alamos JJAB.
At 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, SALA members are invited to watch the UEFA Champions League Final live on the big screen as part of the Sports on the Big Screen series.
In addition to public programming, SALA continues to offer Virtual Reality experiences, event rentals, and membership benefits including early access, discounts, and exclusive screenings.

June at SALA will bring major new film releases, a Gene Hackman classic tribute, community conversations, live theatre, sports broadcasts, and the next installment of Studio Ghibli Fest. A full schedule will be announced soon.
