Police arrived at the scene of an accident in which an unoccupied vehicle rolled away from the Shell Gas Station at Rover Boulevard and N.M. 4 at about 5 p.m. today, picked up speed through the adjacent parking lot and plowed into the White Rock Visitor Center. According to police, the driver went inside the station to prepay her gas. Her vehicle is a manual transmission that apparently popped out of gear and rolled southbound across the parking lot, struck a canopy pole near the entrance of the tourist information center, jumped the curb and pushed in a portion of the glass and wall area of the building about a foot-and-a-half.
