RUBY K’s News:

Ruby K’s first Cupcake Decorating Fest drew a crowd Saturday as parents and children gathered around a table outside the restaurant at 20th and Central Avenue to decorate cupcakes with vibrant frosting and an entire tableful of colorful candies.

The event raised $105 for Family Strengths Network (FSN). Ruby K’s hopes to raise even more money for FSN during its Scary Cupcake Decorating Contest during Halloweekend Oct. 27.

FSN is a nonprofit organization that provides life enhancing programs for families in Los Alamos and northern New Mexico. FSN seeks to raise at least $9,000 through donations and memberships in order to continue providing programs to the community.

Donations can be made through the FSN website at http://www.lafsn.org/home/memberships.
