At the podium from left, Rotarian Membership Committee’s Steve Ciddio and Rotary Club President Vincent Chiravalle recently welcomed the Club’s newest members: Century Bank Vice President Dan Maes and United Church Pastor for Congregation and Youth Keith Lewis. Maes was sponsored for membership by Karen Easton; Lewis by Nina Thayer. Rotary is the oldest service organization in the world with more than 1.2 million members in more than 230 countries. Focus areas include basic education and literacy; clean water and sanitation; disease prevention (especially the eradication of polio); economic development; maternal and child health; conflict resolution and peace initiatives.
