Rotarian Brian Newnam presented a classification talk at the April 15 Rotary Club meeting at the Manhattan Project Bar & Grill. Newnam was a laser physicist with Los Alamos National Laboratory for 30 years. As a violinist and violist, he has performed with the Orchestra of Santa Fe, the San Juan Symphony in Durango, and several other orchestras in Northern New Mexico. Since 2005, he has been the editor of the Journal of the Violin Society of America and serves on the VSA Board of Directors. He is married to violinist Kay Newnam. Photo by Carol A.
