New Mexico children’s author and illustrator Ross Van Dusen, came to Pinon Elementary School Thursday to read his book titled “How the Crocka Dog Came to Be” to K-2nd graders. He engaged students with his lively, animated reading, demonstrated how to draw Crocka Dog (the main character), and then let students illustrate their own Crocka Dogs.
