COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County will begin work Monday, Jan. 6, to replace the roof of the Red Cross Building at 1251 Juniper Street and Bathtub Row.
This project is part of the County’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and extending the lifespan of its facilities.
The work is expected to take 10 working days weather permitting, with crews working 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The contractor has planned the work to minimize disruptions and to ensure the safety of NMSU Los Alamos County Extension Service (NMSU LACES) patrons, drivers and pedestrians passing by the work area.
Contractor vehicles will be parked in the lower parking lot of the Betty Ehart Senior Activity Center, with all work confined around the Red Cross Building.
Although the disruption of regular activities is not anticipated at this time, it is recommended that patrons contact the NMSU LACES before their visit throughout the construction period. Visit https://losalamosextension.nmsu.edu/ for contact details.

The County thanks the public for their understanding and patience as this important maintenance work is completed.
