COUNTY News:
The free right-hand turn lane from East Jemez Road to N.M. 4 will be CLOSED Thursday, Jan. 18 so that crews can directionally bore a space for conduit to be installed at the median in the southeast corner of N.M. 4. It is anticipated this closure will only be needed for one day.
Eastbound traffic on East Jemez Road will be able to turn right to access southbound N.M. 4 at the traffic signal at the intersection of East Jemez Road and N.M. 4.
Traffic headed in this direction Jan. 18, 2024 should expect delays.
NOTE: Construction continues on the final phase of improvements to the N.M. 4/East Jemez Road intersection through late January or early February 2024. There will be occasional lane closures so crews can install median islands and a permanent traffic signal.
Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the traffic control signs and message boards and obey the lower posted speed limit of 35 MPH. Motorists should use extra caution in the construction zone, expect delays and allow extra time to reach their destinations in the morning and evening.
All construction is weather permitting and is subject to change without notice.
