Wolf and Mermaid News:
Wolf and Mermaid has announced a new collaboration with noted cartoonist and comedian Ricardo Caté. Caté’s comic panel “Without Reservations” can be seen every day except Sunday in the Santa Fe New Mexican.
Original acrylic on canvas art by Caté is now for sale exclusively at the Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Café at 181 Central Park Square in Los Alamos. His bright pieces feature a unique comic sense based on the experiences of New Mexicans and Native Americans in the Land of Enchantment. Some have called him the “Charles Shultz of New Mexico”. His cartoon was voted the most popular cartoon in the “New Mexican”.
In 2023, Caté received the prestigious “Ink Pot” award at San Diego’s International Comic Con. As a recipient of this award, he joins such brilliant artists and storytellers as Tim Burton, Stan Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steven Spielberg.
Caté is the only native cartoonist in the United States published in a daily, mainstream newspaper. Caté is from Santo Domingo/Kewa pueblo. He is a father of three and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
