Reminder: Los Alamos Hilltopper 5K Race This Saturday!

There’s still time to register for the Hilltopper 5K! The race starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at Canyon Rim Trail beginning at the west end of the Canyon Rim Trail in the Smith’s Marketplace parking lot.

The race will be an out and back course along the paved trail. The attached course map shows the route. A one mile run for kids is included and starts at 8 a.m. Packet pick-up will be between 3-7 p.m., Friday at the Aquatic Center, or beginning at 7 a.m. at the race location on Saturday.

The west portion of Canyon Rim Trail (between the west trailhead and the .5-mile marker) will be closed to the public from 8-10 a.m. during the race. The closure will be marked by yellow delineation posts.

The Hilltopper 5K is hosted by TCR Productions of Albuquerque, owned by Tom Rojas, a Los Alamos High School alum from the class of 1972. All proceeds from the race will go to the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation to benefit Los Alamos Public Schools. Click here for more details.
