NNMC News:
ESPAÑOLA — Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is now registering for the Fall semester, and the Opportunity Scholarship has opened the door for every New Mexican to pursue higher education without having to worry about the cost of tuition and fees.
Not everyone who wants to take advantage of this FREE college opportunity feels ready to tackle college classes. NNMC’s “Fast Track to Success” Summer Bridge program can help participants gain the math and writing skills they need to succeed.
Applications are being accepted for Summer Bridge, which runs June 5-July 27. The program is open to high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, high school equivalency recipients and adults returning to college. Tuition, books, course supplies, lunch and light breakfast are provided.
The expanded New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship is open to adult learners, part-time students and those seeking a trades certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree. “Fast Track to Success” can prepare students to maintain the GPA they need to retain the scholarship.
The deadline to apply is May 29, and space is limited. Contact Higinia Padilla at higinia.padilla@nnmc.edu or 505.747.5495 to apply.
“Fast-Track to Success” Summer Bridge is funded through a F2F (Fast-Track to Finish) Title V Grant and Title III Accelerating Achievement in STEM (STEM XL).
