PEEC News:
The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has announced that its beloved after-school kids’ club, Forest Explorers, is now open for registration for winter/spring 2024.
This is a self-directed opportunity where Forest Explorers are encouraged to build forts, get up close to the natural world, and build their awareness of the different plants and animals around them.
Each week PEEC helps to nurture camper’s cooperative play, work on building gross motor skills and focus on place-based learning.
Originally offered to grades 1-3, PEEC now also extends forest explorers to grades 4-6. This program is an excellent opportunity for children to unplug and spend time screen-free, getting dirty, having adventures, and making new friends!
Space is limited to 15 explorers, so advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
For more information about this program, visit Forest Explorers, and for other PEEC programs, visit peecnature.org/events, email kristen@peecnature.org, or call 505.662.0460.
