Reenactments, Children’s Activities, Music, & More At Old Lincoln Days Aug. 1–3

NMDCA News:

Come celebrate the legendary history of outlaw Billy the Kid at Old Lincoln Days in Historic Lincoln, New Mexico, Aug. 1–3, 2025.

Food and craft vendors, reenactors, musicians, and more come to the “most dangerous street in America” for one weekend each year. Lincoln Historic Site staff will host two lectures a day on Friday and Saturday in the San Juan Bautista Church as part of the ongoing Lincoln Lecture Series. Children’s activities will take place by the San Juan Bautista Church, and a “Where is Billy?” seek and find will take place throughout town. The Wonders on Wheels mobile museum will also be on-site.

Admission to Lincoln Historic Site buildings and activities is $7 per adult and free to children 16 years and younger and can be purchased at the Courthouse and Visitor Center. Admission for the Billy the Kid pageant is separate and can be purchased at the event.

This annual weekend-long event celebrates the historic town, where visitors can travel back in time to the 1870s and 1880s and explore museums and historic buildings, walking the grounds where Billy the Kid, Sheriff Pat Garrett, and other characters of the Old West roamed.
