Red River Elected Officials, Deputy Marshals Take Oath

RED RIVER – The Town of Red River has announced the official swearing-in ceremony that took place Wednesday, presided over by Municipal Judge Lon Webster. The ceremony marked the commencement of the terms of office for the recently elected officials and the induction of two newly hired Deputy Marshals.

In a display of trust and confidence, the citizens of Red River have reelected Mayor Linda Calhoun and Town Councilor Steve Cherry, recognizing their proven leadership and dedication to the community. Both Mayor Calhoun and Councilor Cherry have already demonstrated their commitment toward the betterment of Red River, and their reelection signifies the overwhelming endorsement of their accomplishments.

Following the induction of the returning officials, Town Councilor Daniel Lamb also took the oath of office, embracing this opportunity to contribute his expertise and passion to the town’s governance. Councilor Lamb’s eagerness to serve the community and work alongside his fellow officials is truly commendable, highlighting his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Red River residents.

Simultaneously, the Red River Marshal’s Office expanded its ranks with the addition of Deputy Marshals Jason Rael and Joey Graves, who were also sworn in during Wednesday’s ceremony. With the inclusion of Rael and Graves, the Red River Marshal’s Office now boasts a dedicated team of six full-time law enforcement officers.
