RDC Announces 2025 Tribal Grant Fund Awardees

RDC News:

The Regional Development Corporation has announced the 2025 RDC Tribal Grant Fund Awardees.

The RDC Tribal Grant Fund was established for businesses owned by a federally recognized Indian tribe or by enrolled members of a federally recognized Indian tribe to thrive and prosper through grants of up to $8,000 for critical technical services and equipment.

A total of $106,418.71 was awarded to businesses in:

  • Jemez Pueblo (1);
  • Nambe Pueblo (1);
  • Pojoaque Pueblo (3);
  • San Ildefonso Pueblo (2);
  • Santa Clara Pueblo (4); and
  • Taos Pueblo (3).

The breadth of Awardee business sectors ranges from flooring installation to a restaurant, native cultural tours, arts and crafts retail store, general contractor specializing in historic Adobe preservation, traditional needlework, beauty services, marketplace, waste management, cultural experiences, agricultural capacity building, wholesale/retail business, musician/creator, and RV park.

Ancient Alive (Taos Pueblo)
Native American arts and crafts retail store located within the historic village at Taos Pueblo. 

Avanyu (San Ildefonso Pueblo)
General contractor that specializes in Adobe historic preservation. As a social entrepreneurial company, Avanyu supports its crews to develop trade skills that create better paths in life choices. 

Bert’s Trash Services (Pojoaque Pueblo)
Bert’s Trash Services is a locally owned and operated waste management company dedicated to serving the community with dependable, customer-focused, flexible waste solutions tailored to the needs of households and local businesses.

Big D Flooring (Jemez Pueblo)
Big D Flooring is a Jicarilla Apache woman-owned flooring installation business that combines expert craftsmanship with a commitment to quality, sustainability, and community empowerment. Offers a full range of flooring installations, subfloor preparation, moisture barriers, trim work, and flooring repairs.

The Pueblo of Pojoaque‘s Butterfly Springs RV Park currently has 63 spaces with full hook-ups, with an additional 30 spaces under construction. 

Rose Water Farm (Santa Clara Pueblo)
Rose Water Farm is a wholesale and retail business produces bake goods, jam & preserves, starter plants, vegetables, corn, alfalfa, compost organic fertilizer, and agriculture consulting services. Onset of setting into motion a lumber mill to provide building materials for construction.
