PURGATORY News:
Purgatory Ski Resort has announced the official end of ski season is Sunday, May 14.
This season, Purgatory received more than 31 feet of snow, an amount only recorded three times since the Durango-area ski resort opened in 1965. As a result, Purgatory extended the ski season by three weeks, from April 23 to May 14, allowing for May skiing and riding for the second time in resort history.
Modified operations this weekend include rentals, retail and lifts 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bear Bar will serve food and beverages 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. No lessons or beginner terrain will be offered.
Details:
- All 2022/23 Hesperus passholders are invited to use their passes this weekend.
- All 2022/23 Purgatory weekday passholders are invited to use their passes this weekend.
- Any new 2023/24 passholder can use their season pass (even if it’s purchased on the payment plan) as part of the “buy now, ski now” promotion.
- Also, a reminder for 2023/24 season passholders, Purgatory’s interest-free payment plan offer ends at midnight Sunday, May 14.
