As ski season winds down, Purgatory Resort bids farewell to winter with the annual Pond Skim event April 14. While Sunday also marks the end of daily operations, Purgatory will remain open weekends, April 19- 21 and April 26-28. Also new this season, weekend operations at Purgatory will now include Fridays.

A beloved tradition at Purgatory since 2001 promises thrills and spills as skiers and snowboarders attempt to “skim” across a pool of icy water with live music and beer from Durango’s own Ska Brewing. Prizes are awarded for the best skim, best wipeout and best costumes.

Lift tickets are on sale now starting at just $10 on select dates in April. For season passholders, now is the time to score the best deals for next season, and skiers and riders can use their 24/25 season pass to ski the rest of this season as well. Visit purgatory.ski to learn more.
