NMDOH County Map Update: Nearly Entire State Turquoise!

NMDOH News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) announced today the updated statewide COVID-19 map for the two-week period beginning today, May 5, with 30 New Mexico counties at the Turquoise Level, at which there are the fewest restrictions on commercial and day-to-day activities amid decreased virus risk.

The majority of the state’s counties remain at the least restrictive levels.

As of today, May 5, two counties are at the Green Level and one county remains at the Yellow Level; zero

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 214 New Cases, Total 198,781 With 2 New Deaths And 183,949 Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico Department of Health officials announced today 214 new COVID-19 cases.

Los Alamos County reports zero new cases today so the total remains at 519 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 2 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reports the most recent cases:

  • 65 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 1 new case in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 1 new case

Fatal Motorcycle Crash Involves Collision With Sheep In Roadway In San Juan County

NMSP News:

SAN JUAN COUNTY — At approximately 12:54 p.m. Monday, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) investigated a fatal motorcycle crash on State Road 491 near mile post 107, south of Shiprock. 

The initial investigation indicates that a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Robert Curt Wolf, 57, of Arvada, Colo., was traveling south on N.M. 491 when his motorcycle struck a sheep in the roadway.

Wolf was ejected from the motorcycle and transported by emergency medical personnel to an area hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased by a doctor.
