COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County has launched a new Open Forum survey on its webpage, asking residents to voice their opinion about proposed language to be added to Chapter 6 (Animals) of the County Code regarding keeping poultry in residential areas.

The changes will be introduced by ordinance Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Council meeting and then the Council will hold a Public Hearing and make a decision about whether to adopt the changes at its Friday, Oct. 10 meeting (noon in Council Chambers with a firm cut off time of 1:30 p.m.).

Residents are urged to visit the Open Forum link, which is available on the home page of www.losalamosnm.us to review the text and enter comments or support statements being made by others on the forum.

Alternatively, residents may review the text on the forum and then send an email to the Council before Oct. 10 at countycouncil@lacnm.us.
