Public Invited To Welcome New Los Alamos Police Officers At Swearing In Ceremony June 18

The Los Alamos Police Department invites members of the public to attend upcoming swearing-in ceremonies for three new officers who are joining the department.

Police Corporals Anthony Martinez and Keiffer Nymark will be sworn in at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 18, in the Los Alamos Magistrate Court Chambers.

Police Corporal Dustin Chavez will be sworn in at 11 a.m., Monday, June 29, in the Los Alamos Magistrate Court Chambers.

These ceremonies mark the beginning of each officer’s service to the Los Alamos community and provide an opportunity for family members, friends, and residents to welcome them into their new law enforcement roles.

“The oath of office is a significant milestone and a public commitment to serve our community,” Deputy Chief James Rodriguez said. “We are proud to welcome these new officers to the Los Alamos Police Department and invite the community to join us as they continue their careers in public service here in Los Alamos.”

The ceremonies are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.
