The reality is that individuals with hearing loss are sometimes the last to recognize they have a problem.
Have you Heard? Hearing Loss and Older Adults is a program intended to help people understand the basics of hearing – the anatomy of the ear and how natural hearing works, the causes of hearing loss and treatment options.
This free program is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the White Rock Town Hall.
Dr. Ian J. Alexander, from ENT Associates of Los Alamos will be presenting the program being sponsored by the Los Alamos Cooperative Extension Service, Los Alamos Extension Association of New Mexico and Los Alamos Senior and Retired Organization.
Dr. Ian Joseph Alexander has practiced Otolaryngology in the Los Alamos area since 2009. He enjoys caring for patients with general ear nose and throat concerns including pediatrics, facial trauma and chronic sinusitis.
He specializes in balloon sinuplasty, traveling extensively throughout New Mexico to provide this service and is one of the nation’s leading physicians in balloon sinuplasty.
His practice uses a holistic approach to medicine where the focus is on caring for the patient not just diseases.
