COMMUNITY News:

The 39th Annual White Rock Community Independence Day Parade & Carnival will be held again this year. All members of the community are invited to don their most patriotic clothes and come to the festivities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 366 Grand Canyon.

At 10 a.m., after a flag ceremony and the singing of the national anthem, the children will join in a parade with their decorated bicycles, tricycles, scooters, strollers, wagons, etc. Along with the Los Alamos Police and Fire Departments, the children will walk or ride around a half mile block back to the parking lot of the church.

A carnival will follow in the back yard of the church. There will be free balloons, snow cones and popcorn for everyone and many games, also free, with prizes. Fun for all ages.
