Power Outage Affects Several Areas Monday

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities officials reported a power outage Monday morning that was caused by a faulty underground cable. 

The outage began at 4:30 a.m. and affected customers in the western part of downtown, the Western Area neighborhood and Pajarito Mountain.

Power was restored at 6:50 a.m. to the western part of downtown, 7:12 a.m. to the Western Area neighborhood, 7:43 a.m. to the Timber Ridge area and Pajarito Mountain and at 8:07 a.m. to the Gold Street Apartment area.
