Exterior Entrance: This view shows the entrance on the end of the tiny building. I don’t know why the croquet set sits outside but perhaps someone thought they were donating to a croquet museum, not a crochet museum! Photo by Gary Warren/ladailypost/com

While we are all staying at home during the pandemic, the next few Posts From the Road will be from previous travels during the last couple of years.
While traveling, we enjoy seeing many of the obvious landmarks, museums, parks and any other points of interest in the towns that we pass through. However, we also like to search out the unique and quirky attractions as we travel. These are often some of our favorite stops.
One such attraction is the World Famous Crochet Museum in Joshua Tree, Calif. Housed in a former Photo Lab (remember those little drop off labs seen in parking lots in the 80s and 90s?). This small building was repainted and remodeled to house the Crochet Museum. Painted bright lime-green and just off the main drag in Joshua Tree, the little museum is easy to spot.
Editor’s note: Longtime Los Alamos photographer Gary Warren and his wife Marilyn are traveling around the country and he shares his photographs, which appear in the ‘Posts from the Road’ series published in the Sunday edition of the Los Alamos Daily Post.
