The Los Alamos Police Department has announced that next week’s Coffee with a Cop and Special Olympics Athletes at Starbucks will be postponed based on precautions related to the Coronavirus.

“On Wednesday, March 11, we received an official statement from Special Olympics that they would be suspending all fundraising efforts for their athletes until March 31 at which point they will re-evaluate the situation,” Cmdr. Oliver Morris said.

LAPD was notified today that Starbucks also will be taking the same precautions, “to protect the health and well-being of our customers and partners”.

“We at the LAPD will reschedule another Coffee with a Cop and Special Olympics Athletes, however there is still an opportunity to support our local athletes.
