Portion Of Santa Fe Rail Trail Closed Until November

SANTA FE ― A portion of the Santa Fe Rail Trail is now closed until November 2019 to improve a 1.5 mile section of the trail.
 
The portion of trail that will be closed is between Avenida Eldorado (mile post 4.86) and Spur Ranch Road (mile post 3.5).
 
The closure is part of the fourth phase of the trail improvements, which includes trail surface and drainage improvements within the railroad right of way of the Santa Fe Southern Railroad. Trail users should plan to use an alternate route during the trail construction and closure.
 
Phase four of the project will cost approximately $391,010, the project is funded from General Obligation Bond (GOB) and a Federal Highway Administration Grant.
 
Santa Fe County has contracted with H.O. Construction of Albuquerque, NM for this phase of the project.
