Polls Have Closed But Due To Escalating COVID & Flu Cases No Election Return Watching At Municipal Building

County Clerk News:

The Polls closed at 7 p.m. today but due to escalating COVID-19 and flu cases in the community, there will not be a room set up to watch election returns in the Los Alamos County Municipal Building.

The County Clerk’s Office will email candidates and local party chairs these results as they become available, with a running total of the sites being reported, which will be noted at the top of the document.

The Los Alamos Daily Post will publish the returns as they become available. Also, as required by law, results tapes will be posted outside each Vote Center for review.

The Clerk’s Office will simultaneously post the unofficial results to its website: https://www.losalamosnm.us/Government/Transparent-Los-Alamos-County/Elections.

Statewide Results will be accessible on the New Mexico Secretary of State Election Results portal at: https://electionresults.sos.state.nm.us/.

Note: A Special Election Board will convene to hand tally any write-in votes and complete any other election-related duties if needed as prescribed by law, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Municipal Building.
