Pinon Elementary School is hosting its annual fun run at 9 a.m. April 23. The Earth Day themed event supports the school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

Celebrate going green by participating in this year’s event!  It is tons of fun for the whole family.

The 1-mile and 5K event kicks off promptly at 9 a.m.  from the school’s main parking lot. Snacks and prizes will be given after participants cross the finish line, back at Pinon Elementary.  Organizers hope the streets will be packed with families and friends walking, jogging, or running!

Registration forms are on the PTO’s website https:////pinonpto.weebly.com/ and can be mailed to Pinon Elementary Fun Run, 90 Grand Canyon, Los Alamos, NM 87544.

Early registration costs are $10 for adults 18 and up, and $5 for kids 17 and under and you must register prior to April 8 to lock in the early rate.  As a bonus, if you’re interested in having a commemorative t-shirt, you may order one for $10, as long as you register prior to April 8.  

Late (and day of) registration will be accepted after April 8 for an additional $10 per participant, however t-shirts will not be available to order with late entries.

The event has built quite the reputation for having terrific fan support, and great fun, as well as dedicated volunteers. Everyone is welcome.
