Zia just graduated from eight weeks of training in the Penitentiary of New Mexico through the Española Humane’s Paws in the Pen program. She is house, leash and crate trained, and responds to a whole list of training cues. Zia is a ray of light, just like the sun sign she was named for, and has the fanciest danciest prance. In her pre-shelter life, she adored kids – she even loved to have her toenails painted – and her best friend was a duck. Zia is a beautiful 53 lb., 1-year-young Aussie mix, with unique markings and a huge raccoon tail. She’s ready to make her family smile bright as the sun! Zia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, goes home with six months of free heartworm prevention, and also four free training sessions to ensure a smooth transition.
