Love is a true love, with people and all dogs, but despite that an adopter is going to be more challenging to find: she’s an adult, she’s a black dog and she’s heartworm positive. Still, Española Humane isn’t giving up on her. They’ve started heartworm treatment, they will continue to treat her at no cost to her adopters, and she’s currently having a staycation at Top Dog Pet Resort in Santa Fe to give her a cozy, cushy break from shelter life.
